I am trying to go to india on a travel document and have my tickets booked for next week but now i am not getting visa and my tickets cannot be refunded. I am so stressed and the people at the indian consulate office are so rude and inconsiderate. I spoke to one of the staff and said why does it take 4-6 months to get visa and she said i am not here to answer your questions. You want visa then wait otherwise you go away. ????????????? RUDE. I am so stuck because i have international and domestic flight tickets for three which cannot be refunded…Has anyone been in this kind of dilemma and if you have been, What and How did you get around it?

The official position, at any country’s foreign mission, is that if you need to travel to a place that requires a visa or other official documents, then it is your responsibility to first get the documents you need before you make your arrangements – especially non-refundable tickets/hotel reservations.
