When is your flight? It is much better if you will search travel agencies on line for the lowest fare. I tried to search a flight with connection in BOS but was not successful. For the luggage, it is best to check policy of the airlines. There might be additional fees if you exceed the baggage restriction…
You can make a domestic connection in Boston, just be sure to present your entire itinerary upon check-in at PDX.
The luggage restrictions domestically (lower weight limit than international) won’t matter because your final destination is international, but again this is contingent on you presenting your entire itinerary at PDX.
Good luck!
Do not purchase two separate tickets. One from PDX to BOS and another one from BOS to MAA.
You will have to re-check you luggage at the connecting airport and go to security again. Timing is also very imprtant. Need at least 2 to 3 hrs between flights.
Buy a r/t from PDX to MAA with proper connecting flights, so you will not have any problem.
You will get what you pay if you doing it on your own.
Read a lot of horror stories in this site, by doing it yourself. Go to a travel agency in Portland, and you will not pay more than the online ones.
